If a contestant is having a hard time, they will go next to them and swear up a storm to make the emotional breakdown unusable for film. Mel and Sue are the best! They are filled with puns and are ready to provide emotional support to whoever needs it. She’s critical without being harsh and just wants to help the bakers get better with every episode. Mary Berry is my favorite of the two judges.
It’s very sweet to witness another contestant helping another if they need it. Of course they all want to win, but no one is a jerk over it. Most cooking competition shows are anything but relaxing, but trust me, this one is! The contestants are so kind to each other and you can tell they all truly love baking. It’s the best show to watch if you just want to grab a cup of tea (and some cookies!) and put up your feet to relax. It may sound weird, but the Great British Baking Show is one of my all-time favourite shows.
